We wanted to let you know what your amazing support has helped to achieve in 2019.

Thanks to your generosity, 19 new research projects have been funded, which will bring us closer to finding a cure for macular disease. Only research has the answers, so thank you for your continued support.

Your kindness has also had an impact on our support services, enabling our Advice & Information team to answer 15,500 calls – helping patients and their family members throughout the UK to cope with a diagnosis of macular disease.

Thanks to your thoughtful donations, £5 million has been raised in 2019 to continue funding research into macular disease, and to support those diagnosed.

We truly appreciate everything that our community and challenge eventers have done in 2019 to raise almost a quarter of a million pounds. Whether you baked, ran, completed a virtual challenge, quizzed, partied or wore yellow – thank you.

In 2020 we will continue with our commitment to funding more research to find new treatments and one day, a cure – we cannot do it without you, so thank you for everything you do for the Macular Society.
