National report addresses challenges facing ophthalmology services

A national report by the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) has made a series of recommendations to address the challenge of the rising demand in ophthalmology services due to an ageing population.

The GIRFT programme works with frontline clinicians to help improve the quality of care within the NHS by looking at variations in care across the UK and making recommendations for improvement.
