Spread the word that smoking causes sight loss
Posted: Friday 02 June 2017According to the Macular Society smoking is the biggest ‘modifiable’ risk factor when it comes to AMD and smokers are up to four times more likely to develop the condition. Passive smoking can also have an impact on your eye health.
During Macular Week (26 June - 2 July) we are highlighting the harmful effects of smoking on your eyes.
We would like you to get involved by telling as many people as you can throughout the week about the effects smoking has on your eyes.
We have produced a poster for you to share with us, to let us know how many people you have told. Simply fill in the white box and share it with us via social media, email or by post. Details of how to do so are listed below.
